Yesterday ( Tuesday Feb. 17th ) I played tourist and visited Al Faw palace in Camp Victory ( Baghdad Iraq ). It's fascinating to see how Saddam Hussein was like a Tony Montana.

Lawson Airfield Hanger

TA - 50 Gear
Well today I finally completed CIF @ Fort Benning. Not only getting the gear was a long process, but assembling it was even longer. Over 50 lbs of gear to prevent shrapnel from penetrating vital organs and a helmet to protect the head. It's the price to pay entering dangerous territory but with the gear, I feel my chances for survival are much better. ( Ephesians 6:11 )

Finally arrived at CRC
Well I've finally arrived at Fort Benning ( CRC ). It appears than MANY contractors from various companies are here also for processing before deployment. The food at the "Mess" hall is VERY good!!! Yep, I think I'll pack on a few lbs. before I leave next Friday. Not much going on today but I've added a few pics of my new crib consisting of a bunk bed, my locker and a couple of pics showing the outside of the barracks.
